JAPANESE STRIKE THREAT
WORKERS AGREE TO NEGOTIATE
(Rec. 8 p.m.? TOKYO, Jan. 23. The threatened general strike of Government employees, starting on February 1, which would have paralysed Japanese economic life, apparently has been cancelled as th§ union committee has agreed to negotiate further on the basis of the Government’s offer of wage increases of 25 per cent.,and other concessions.
