R. Kemball, of Melbourne, for 3000 guineas. BOTTOM: The Neptune—Jolly filly, which brought top price for her sex, 1700 guineas. Bought by Mr F. Smith, of Takanini, she was bred by Mr J. G. Alexander at the Cranleigh Stud, Wanganui.
