UNIVERSITY SENATE

The University Senate spent a good deal of. its session yesterday on the report of the Academic Board. Minor amendments were made, concerning entries and prescriptions for various examinations, and statistics were revised in accordance with recent changes. One bill redrafted the regulations governing academic dress to give more exact specifications. After adopting the treasurer’s report, the Senate passed the reports of the Entrance Board and Council on Legal Education dealing chiefly with courses. The Senate decided to postpone discussing appointment of a successor to Sir Thomas Hunter as vice-chancellor until university policy and the question of full-time academic heads of colleges had been considered. Committees will meet this morning and delegates will visit Canterbury Agricultural College. Lincoln, in the afternoon.
