“THE HIDDEN EYE” The new adventures of the famous blind detective, Duncan Maclain, and his dog, Friday, will make tense and thrilling entertainment at the St. James’ Theatre, where the new Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer attraction. “The Hidden Eye,” commences a season to-day. With two of the family already murdered. Arthur Hampton, a wealthy mine-owner, calls upon Maclain to solve the crimes and protect him and his one remaining brother. But both are mysteriously, murdered, and only their beautiful niece remains to inherit the Hampton fortune. Suspicion falls on hdr fiance. Barry Gifford, whose father was once connected with the Hampton enterprises. . Maclain suspects the Hampton lawyer, but lacks proof. The leading parts are portrayed by Edward Arnold, Frances Rafferty, Ray Collins, and Paul Langton. ~,I’he second feature. “Taming of the West,’’ stars Bill Elliot.
