Rimu Gold Dredging Company, Limited. —During 1946 the company won a total of 88181 ounces of gold from 1,910,522 yards of material in 5655 hours. December totals were 1348 J ounces from 167.607 .yards in I 486 hours. For the last clean-up period from December 23 to January 7. the return was 759 J ounces from 75.387 vards i in 220 J hours. Electrolytic Zinc Company of A’asia., I I.td.—The production statement for the j four weeks ended November 13 and the ; four weeks ended December 11, is as fol- i lows:—Risdon works: zinc, 5504 tons, 5269 1 tons. West Coast mines: ore treated. 9992 ! tons, 10,039 tons; lead concentrates pro- | 594 tons. 670 tons; zinc concentrates produced. 3102 tons. 3225 tons: copper concentrates produced. 236 tons. 242 tons. At the Risdon works outnut was reduced to conform with curtailed supplies of zinc concentrate and calcine from the mainland, prising from shipping difficulties. |
