SWIMMING

TOUR OF AUSTRALIAN WOMEN (P.A.) DUNEDIN, Jan. 9. Acting for the Kiwi Club, which is arranging the tour, the Otago Swimming Centre has asked the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association to extend an official invitation to Miss U. Crittenden, the New South Wales 110 and 220 yards free-style swimming champion, and Miss N. Mac Lean, the Australian junior under 16J years diving champion, who is also a good free-style and medley swimmer, to visit New Zealand, with Mrs Mary Chambers, secretary of the New South Wales Women’s Amateur Swimming Association, as manageress. • The Australians will arrive in Auckland on February 19 and the tour will last till the end of March.
