SPECTACULAR CATCH.—The English batsman, D. C. S. Compton, is caught out in the first innings of the cricket test against Australia now being played in Sydney. Compton snicked a ball from C. V. McCool to I. Johnson, who was fielding as the only slip. Johnson failed to hold the catch, but deflected the ball to the wicket-keeper, D. Tallon, who held it.
