NEW DAIRY REGULATIONS GAZETTED (P.A.) WELLINGTON. Dec. 5. Although they cover nine pages, the Dairy (Milk Treatment) Regulations. 1946. gazetted to-night, do not vary in any major respect from similar regulations issued last year. An administrative change is made in that \ hereas last year’s regulations were brought down by the Health Department under the Health Act. this year s are sponsored by the Department of Agriculture under the Dairy Industry Act. The change is to enable the administration of the regulations to be done by the dairy division of the Department of Agriculture, instead of by the Department of Health —a change decided upon shortly after the original regulations were issued. Provision is also made requiring all milk treating houses to be registered with the director of the dairy division. This registration of milk treating houses was not previously required.
