NEGOTIATIONS WITH TABERNACLE CHURCH (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Nov. 1. A report concerning the relationship of Dr. Alexander Hodge and the Tabernacle Church, Auckland, to the Baptist Union of New Zealand, from which Dr. Hodge and his church withdrew after a dispute, was presented at the annual assembly of the Union which is being held in Auckland. The report was taken in committee and a statement issued later said that progress had been made in negotiations, although matters had not reached the stage where the council of the Union could make any definite recommendations to the assembly. Full confidence in the council. was expressed by the assembly.
