BOXING
CRUICKSHANK BEATS LITTLE (P.A.) DUNEDIN, October 30. In his first appearance as a professional lan Cruickshank (lost 311 b), of Dunedin, who was rurtner-up for the New Zealand amateur welter-weight title this year, defeated. Billy Little (Auckland) by a technical knock-out in the fifth round of a schduled 12-round welter-weight contest in the Town Hall to-night. Cruickshank was on top throughout, but Little stood up gamely to heavy punishment. Little was down twice in the fourth round, and the referee stopped the fight in the fifth.
