WEST COAST MASCOT.—The Canterbury and West Coast Rugby football teams were accompanied by Mr E. Richardson’s dog, Guy, when they took the field at Lancaster Park on Saturday. The photograph shows Guy carrying the West Coast red and white flag in his mouth. The player is the Canterbury forward, H. Sturrock. At half time Guy entertained the crowd with a number of tricks and appeared to enjoy his Own performance. The dog is a cross between a retriever and a spaniel and is not yet two years old.
