VIRTUALLY SUNK
(By WHIM WHAM.) “He (Mr Wallace) was not only guilty of disloyalty to the President and the nation, but has given aid and comfort to a virtual enemy, for which in war time he could be shot. . . .’’—Admiral Standley, in a speech at Los Angeles. I’m virtually bewildered (A curious State of Mind). My virtual Incapacity For Reasoning. I find, Makes Politics an Idiot’s Tale Because—Oh, hard to bear!— I virtually fail to grasp The virtual Meanings there. Not long ago the Big Three’s Hearts Beat virtually as One. Did any Cause of Strife exist? Why, virtually None. What virtual Unity was Theirs When virtually Allied, When virtually Nothing could Their virtual Aims divide! Oh, Nations virtually at War Without Hostilities, Whp virtually dare not bomb Their virtual Enemies! Angels might virtually weep To see the World roll faster From virtual Peace to virtual War And virtual Disaster.
