APPEAL FOR KEEPERS
Sir, —Many of your readers. will probably have read in a recent issue of “The Press” that the Rangiora branch of Toe H has been appointed North Canterbury dgents for the Makogai Leper Trust Board. We are very glad indeed to help Mr Twomey in his appeal for comforts for the unfortunate lepers. In order to permit North Canterbury residents to assist in this appeal the Toe H branch rooms, High street, will be open each Friday evening from 7 to 9 o’clock, when officers of the branch will be present to receive any donations of cash or gifts of suitable clothing and toys. For those unable to call at the rooms, arrangements have been made by which cash contributions may be made to the Rev. F. Lane, the Vicarage, ‘or Captain Brjngans, Salvation Army, both of Rangiora. and gifts may be sent to, or left at, Ross-Smith’s Cake Kitchen.— Yours, etc., C. V. JUNGE.
