Kanieri-Arahura.—The two dredging units of Gold Mines of New Zealand. Ltd? first half of September won a total of 940 ounces of gold. Arahura secured 512 ounces from 143,000 yards in 237 hours and Kanieri, 428 ounces from 89.000 yards in 223 hours. Electrolytic Zinc Company of A’sia., Ltd.—The production statement for the four weeks ended July 24. and the four weeks ended August 21, is as follows:—Risdon works: zinc, 6665 tons and 6171 tons respectively. West Coast mines: ore treated, 9985 and 10,015 tons; lead concentrates produced, 614 and 721 tons; zinc concentrates produced, 3229 and 3401 tons; copper concentrates produced, 265 and 213 tons.
