YESTERDAY IN THE HOUSE
(From Our Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, September 18. Although much of this afternoon was spent in the discussion of a petition, the House of Representatives made fair progress with the Estimate* to-day. Accordingly the House adjourned soon after 10.30 p.m. instead of going on with the tourist vote. The principal business to-morrow will bo consideration of the Finance Bill.
