ISLAND BAY SEAT

NATIONAL PARTY’S CANDIDATE (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 18. Captain D. P. Howlett, officer in charge of records and sick and wounded in area 5 (Wellington), was to-night selected as the National Party’s candidate for the Island Bay seat. He is an accountant by profession, and he contested the Wellington South seat in 1938. This appointment completes the selection of National Party candidates for the Wellington seats.
