TRIAL AT ASCOT J4EXT ’ MONTH LONDON. September 17. Ascot’s new race, the King George VI Stakes, on October 12, will be televised. Rehearsal pictures received at Alexandra Palace. 30 miles »way. proved very satisfactory. This is the greatest distance over which a television relay has been attempted. ' .. Experts will televise a close-up of the start and finish of the King George VI Stakes and will follow the running over the whole of the two miles. Other important races will be televised if the experiment is successful.
