YESTERDAY IN THE HOUSE
(From Our Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, September 17. The Opposition’s intention of conserving the remaining time of the session so that it will not be unduly rushed when the last of the legislation is being put through, was shown in the House of Representatives today. Remarkably rapid progress -’as made on the Estimates, and all the Prime Minister’s votes were passed. Before the House rose the Leader of the Opposition (Mr S. G. Holland) agreed to permit the Government to , tke Estimates again to-morrow. Social Security, Internal Affairs, Tourist and other votes administered by the Hon. _W. E. Parry will be taken.
