BRITISH GOVERNMENT’S DETERMINATION (Rec. 10 p.m.) LONDON. May 6. The British Prime Minister (Mr C. R. Attlee) in a speech at a May Day celebration at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, last night declared that the Governnffent was determined to raise the standard of life all over the world. “Peace is indivisible but the foundations of peace must be laid in the widest possible extension of economic well-being.”
