MURPHY MAY GO TO AUSTRALIA “VERY ATTRACTIVE OFFER” <P.A.) WELLINGTON. May 2. Authority to negotiate for a trip to Australia by Bos Murphy under contract to fight for Stadiums, Ltd,, has been received by Mr Walter Miller, a well-known wrestling manager, who immediately discussed the matter with Mr P. Galvin, Murphy's manager. “We have certainly had a very attractive offer,” said Mr Galvin to-day. “So attractive that we have asked Mr Miller to obtain further details. Murphy may go to Australia fairly shortly, probably within two or three months, and meet three welter-weights, and we think the third of them should be Tommy Burns, who was recently beaten by Patrick. We don’t want to go to Australia without knowing our programme in advance. However, th? offer looks good enough to keep Murphy in the game a while longer. “We feel he should have an opportunity to gain further experience and toughen up before meeting, for example, a ‘south-’ paw’ as tough as Patrick. We are confident that when Murphy does meet Fatrick .again he will substantiate Mr Stewart's verdict."

Mr Galvin added that he recognised that Mr Miller had full authority to negotiate on behalf of Stadiums, Ltd., and would conduct all business with him.
