REVOCATION OF CONTROLS

SCRAP RUBBER, KAPOC, AND PLATING (P.A.) WELLINGTON. March 8. Announcing the revocation of the Scrap Rubber Control Notice. 1942, the Minister of Supply and Munitions (the Hon. D. G. Sullivan) paid a tribute to the service rendered to the war effort of New Zealand by the National Couni cil for Reclamation of Waste Material. I “While it is now possible to revoke I the Scrap Rubber Control Notice,” said Mr Sullivan, “it does not follow that scrap rubber, especially ,in the form of motor tyres, should again be destroyed. Rubber manufacturers throughout New Zealand now have their own organisation for the collection of worn out motor tyres, and every worn out tyre made available for reclaim is a real contribution to the industrial resources of the country.” The Minister also announced the revocation of the Kapoc Control Notice. 1942. and the Plating Control Notice. 1942. .
