♦ NUNNELEY. CASKET CHALLENGES DECISIONS OF CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION A challenge for the Nunneley Casket from the Hutt Valley Association was received at a meeting yesterday of the management committee of the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association. The Hutt Valley Association suggested that the match be played on March 22 and 23. It was decided to advise the Hutt Valley Association that Otago had already entered a challenge for the casket, and that the Canterbury Association was prepared to leave the New Zealand Association to decide which match should be played. It was also decided to write to the New Zealand Association suggesting that only one further challenge be played if Canterbury was successful in its defence of the casket against Auckland, the dates for such game to be March 29 and 30.
