MAJESTIC
“MRS PARKINGTON”
Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon match their previous successes in “Mrs Miniver” and “Madame Curie” in their new z Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer picture, “Mrs Parkington.” which will continue at the Majestic Theatre this week. They bring to life the story of Susie and Major Parkington, of the best-seller novel, on which the picture is based. Susie, a smalltown girl, is swept off het feet by the self-styled Major Parkington, and as years pass she becomes a -social and financial power at the head of a great family. The major, at times, does not play true to Susie, but on each occasion their love for each other surmounts all difficulties. The supporting cast includes Edward Arnold. Agnes Moorehead, Cecil Kellaway, Gladys Cooper, and Frances Rafferty. This picture is the fourth in which Walter Pidgeon and Greer Garson have been starred together, and with such an able supporting cast the picture is well worth seeing. The producer was Leon Gordon.
