“NO PEACE IN TRUE SENSE”
BENES WARNS CZECHS
(Rec. 10 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 11. The President of Czechoslovakia (Dr. Benes), in a speech to the Provisional National counselled constant alertness until real peace is achieved, says the Prague correspondent of the Associated Press. Dr* Benes added: “There is no peace in the true sense of the word.”
The difficulties with Germany, Poland, and Hungary would continue, he said. The situation would be unsatisfactory for some time. There were similar difficulties in other lands.
“The period after the First World War was the statesman’s dream of tranquillity compared to this,” said Dr. Benes.
