(Rec. 7.30 p.m.) NEW DELHI, Feb. 11. The Viceroy (Lord Wavell) z has asked Mr Gandhi of the All India Congress, and Mr Jinnah, president of the Moslem League, to confer with him about the food situation. It is officially stated that the Viceroy desires all leaders to use their influence to assist him in the emergency. The Governor of the Punjab, which normally has a grain surplus, has announced a 25 per cent, cut in the grain ration throughout the province.
