BRITISH FIRM’S BIG CONTRACT

(Rec. 8 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 10. Representing one of the biggest overseas orders ever obtained by the British aircraft industry, de Havilland’s have contracted to supply the Swedish Government with Vampire jet-propelled interceptor fighters and de Havilland Goblin turbine engines. The contract also covers a licence for the manufacture of the Goblin engine in Sweden.
