ELECTRICIANS' INSTITUTE

The steady growth in membership of the New Zealand Institute of Electricians (Inc.) was mentioned by the president (Mr F. F. Gilmore) at the half-yearly meeting of the council of the institute, held in Palmerston North recently. The council stressed the need for more publicity of prosecutions for breaches of the wiring regulations, and in regard to materials and accessories of poor quality, which, it was stated, were in evidence throughout New Zealand. It was decided that the 1946 conference of the institute will be held at Wellington in March.

Mr E. T. Salvesen, president of the Canterbury branch of the institute, attended the meeting.
