HEALTH CONFERENCE AT SUVA
* From Our Own Correspondent SUVA, July 12. - The formation of a South Pacific Medical Service to co-ordinate the health services of the south Pacific island territories was discussed to-day, when senior medical officers from various administrations in the south Pacific met in Suva. Those taking part are Dr. J. C. R. Buchanan, Inspector-General, South Pacific Medical Service; Dr. M. H. Wati Director-General of Health, New Zealand; Miss M. I. Lambie, 0.8. E., Director, Division of Nursing, New Zealand; Dr. H. S. Evans, Acting-Director of Medical Services, Fiji; Dr. P. J. Monaghan, Chief Medical Officer, Western Samoa: Dr, E. P. Ellison, Chief Medical Officer, Cook .Islands; Major A. G. Rutter, Act-ing-Senior Medical Officer, British Solomon Islands Protectorate; Dr. G. T. Barnes, pathologist, Fiji; Dr. J. Taylor, Medical Officer of Health, Fiji; Dr. D. W. Hoodless, principal, Central Medical School, and Hiss Pedessen, nursing superintendent
