COUNTRY SCHOOL STAFFING
♦— — EDUCATION BOARD TO INVESTIGATE On the resolution of the chairman (Mr C. S. Thompson) the Canterbury Education Board yesterday decided to ask its appointments committee for a report on the staffing 'of country schools. Mr Thompson said that the object of such an investigation should be to have higher-graded teachers appointed to the board’s country schools. Mr W. T. Langley: You know there are a lot of problems involved in the matter? Mr Thompson: I know that, but we ought to be able to get over them.
