NEW TRAMWAY BUSES
The Christchurch Tramway Board has been granted a permit to buy 10 new bus chassis, said the chairman of the board (Mr W. S. Mac Gibbon) yesterday when commenting on a report that the Auckland Transport Board was considering the purchase of 50 new vehicles. Mr Mac Gibbon said the policy, committee of the board was working on plans for the future of the tramway system in Christchurch. Among the matters to which it was giving attention was the possibility of getting more buses.
