TO-DAY’S PROSPECTS
“The Press" Special Service AUCKLAND, May 18. There has been a lot of rain and the course will be heavy for the Waikato Racing Club’s winter meeting at Te Rapa to-morrow. The fields are good, and the principal jumping races are likely to create great Interest. It is probable that the Otorohanga Hack-Handicap will have to be run in two divisions. The betting will be win and place. Horses likely to be in favour include:— 11 a.m.—Melville Hack and Hunters’ Steeplechase: New Battle, Roman Orator, Hunting Chief. 11.45 a.m.—Otorohanga Hack Handicap: First Division; Tuls. Land Warden, Park Royal. Second Division: Silver Treasure, Cricket Ball, Foxstar. 12.30 p.m.—Seddon Hack Hurdles: Brantome, Dumbo. Our Nation. 1.15 p.m.—President’s Handicap: Orakau, Constitution, La Fillette. 2.5 p.m.—Te Rapa Steeplechase; Albino. Sir Percy, Rival 2.50 p.m.—Stewards’ Handicap: Nepeta. Merry Vaals, Cowper. , 3.35 p.m.—Hamilton Hurdles: Gold Cape, Moderate. Epping. 420 p.m.—Horotlu Hack Handicap: Cracrcft. Hippodrome, Riverlands Roe.
