BOY’S DEATH IN HOSPITAL (P.A.) WAIPUKURAU,. April 7. A clot of blood,, formed after an injury to his right leg, drifted to the pulmonary artery, near the heart, and, blocking the: bloodstream, caused the death of a 14-year-old schoolboy, Brian Paul'Holdsworth, of Waipawa, at the Waipukurau Hospital yesterday. Late In February Holdsworth cut a leg. The cut healed, but on March 6, a hit near the cut with a cricket ball caused inflammation Holdswortb wa/ admitted to hospital, and his condition Improved until last Thursday. , At an Inquest this morning, the Coroner (Mr F v J. Adeahe) returned a verdict that Holdsworth died of pulmonary embolism, after an injury lo his leg. , DEERSTALKER INJURED Henry Cooper, aged 20. of Cheviot, was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital at 2 p.m. yesterday with a gunshot wound in the left arm, suffered when he was out deerstalking. At an early hour this morning his condition was reported to be satisfactory.
