Russians Fighting In City

The Russians havfc virtually encircled Vienna, and Red Army troops are fighting in the southern part of the city against desperate enemy resistance. In addition to tanksaud wifantry the Germans are throwing in reserve units, special units and police detachments in defence of the Austrian capital. The Russian communique says that the 3rd Ukrainian Command in the Vienna area has occupied Moedling, three miles from the centre of the city, and Klosterneuburg, two miles to the north-west, and has reached the Danube north*-west of Vienna.
