POLAND.
Sir,—Even if "H.S.'s" comparison of Poland and Spain were true, two wroongs would not make a right/There can be no justification for forcing Poland to give up territory and'change its government. Britain recognises the Polish Government, yet,decides. matters vitally affecting Poland without the consent of that Government: English papers, just arrived show strong opposition in Parliament to the Prime Minister's recent statement on Polish frontiers. Here we were led to suppose that everyone in England agreed that. Russia must, seize half of Poland.-.-I am afraid there is only too much truth in Mr Buttte's cynical answers to my queries, Britain toas broken her pledged word and gone back on the principles of the Atlantic Charter by this agreement about Poland behind the Polish Government's back.—Yours, Ctc " G.F.
