UNION AMATEUR CLUB A. Pavlell, recently returned from active service, marked his return by winning the 10 miles road race run by the Avon Amateur Cycling Club on Saturday. A feature of the race was the fine performance of the novice rider, L. King, aged 15. who was having his first ride bn the road. He started of! the limit of 6min and he was only caught in the last lap. He was beaten by half a length by A. Paviell from a bunch of six riders. ReSl *A' Paivell (2Jmin), 1: V. King (6min), 2; A. Clark (21min), 3. W. Bowden, 25min 3sec, secured fastest time.
