SUBSTANTIAL FALLS OF RAIN

(Rec. %1 p.m.) SYDNEY, Dec. 20. More than two-thirds of Queensland is benefiting from substantial seasonal rains, the falls during the last few days ranging from one to seven inches. In the centra] and nortn-western parts of Queensland they have been of a drought-breaking nature It is hoped these m?n-oonal falls may spread to New Sout' Wales, but further dust storms are lively before rain arrives. Hot n-d sultry condUoijs are expected until the rain moves south.
