THE TEMPEST.—DetaiIs are now released of the British fighter aircraft, the Tempest. The Tempest is a single-seater low-winged monoplane fighter produced by Hawker Aircraft Ltd. It is powered with a supercharged Napier Sabre engine of 2200 h.p., and has* a de Havilland variable pitch four-bladed propeller. The armament consists of four 22mm. cannon guns. The dimensions are: span.4lft,- length 33ft Bin, height (tail up, one blade vertical) 14ft lOin, (tail down, one blade vertical) 16ft lin.
