♦- .• DIAMOND JUBILEE Next year the oldest Roman Catholic college in the Dominion, St. Patrick’s CollegCj Wellington, will celebrate its diamond jubilee. The college was founded in 1885 by the late Archbishop Redwood. It was the first college in Australia and New Zealand to be staffed by the Marist Fathers. From it have sprung St. Patrick’s College, Silverstream, St, Bede’s College. Christchurch, St. John’s College, Hastings, St, Patrick’s College, Timaru, St. Augustine’s College, Wanganui, and St. John’s College, Lismore, Australia, To mark the occasion of the jubilee the authorities of the have planned celebrations in Wellington, beginning on Easter Sunday. April 1, 1945; ________________
