CHRISTCHURCH SAVAGE CLUB

The mid-recess dinner of the Christchurch Savage Club was held last evening. Great Chief J. R. Dench presided over a large attendance. Savage W. Plesse, who will leave Christchurch soon, was presented with the club's badge in recognition of his many years of service to the club. A talk was given by Dr. J. P. McQuilkln on his experiences In the Middle East. Items were given by Past Great Chiefs A. Dey and Len Barnes, and Savages T. Hutton, C. Williams, W. Hay, L. Barnes, jun., L. Millar, P. H. McCullough, and U. Reed. Savage 6. Russell was accompanist.
