GERMAN GUNS STILL ACTIVE LONDON, Sept. 15. The German bombardment of the British coast again flared up at dusk to-day. nearly 20 shells coming across the Channel in five minutes. . The correspondent of the London ‘‘Daily Mail” says that Britain’s bombardment coast is undergoing its last and worst ordeal of the war. Shells have fallen in this area, sometimes singly, sometimes in salvoes, day and night for a week. The noise of battle across the 21 miles of .water, where the Allies are clearing the French coast, has made sleep impossible.
