IMPERIAL CULTURE SOCIETY

The lecture at the last monthly meeting of the Society for Imperial Culture in Christchurch was delivered by Mrs L. G. Pocock. who spoke on British relations with Russia. Mr Len Travers presided over a large attendance. Dr. G. Jobbems moved a vote of thanks to the speaker. During the evening Mr Ernest Empson played Beethoven’s Sonata, Opus 53 and Mrs W. D. Ledsham sang Schubert's “The Linden Tree.” “The Wanderer,” and “Whither.” Mrs H. A. Young moved a vote of thanks to the performers.
