SOUTH ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS

(P.A.) DUNEDIN, Jan. 10. The South Island croquet tournament was continued to-day In boisterous weather. The lawns were heavy after rain and a strong wind caused difficulties for the players. Results were:—

Open Championship.—Colonel Beamish (Christchurch) beat Mrs O'Neill (Gore), 26-18, 26-19.
