WEATHER AT HORORATA

Weather observations taken by Mrs G. H. Hall, Terrace Station, Hororata, for the month of December, show that rain fell on 11 days, the heaviest fall being 39 points on December 18. The rainfall for the month was 1.43 inches In December, 1942, rain fell on 10 days, the maximum fall being 1.99 in on December 2, and the rainfall for the month 3.73 inches. The total rainfall for the year, 1943, was 31.94 inches, and rain fell on 127 days. In 1942 the rainfall was 31.70 in, and rain fell on 129 days. Rain is badly needed throughout the district.
