WOOL PURCHASE COUPONS

CURRENCY EXTENDED TO NOVEMBER 30

The E coupons to be used with clothing coupons for the purchase of wool are current until November 30. The Chief Post Office announced yesterday that the E coupons were to have expired on October 31, but their currency was extended to November 30 to bring them into line with the clothing coupons.

The new ration books contain special wool coupons which can be used to purchase either wool or clothing. No instructions have been issued about their use, but they will be issued before the new coupons can be used, which will be from December 1.

Mr Walter Roderick Abbott, who died recently, bequeathed £SOO to the Commercial Travellers’ and Warehousemen’s Blind Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Fund (No. 2). The trustees of the fund have received £250 on account of this legacy from the Guardian Trust.
