The Government has under order 2,500,000 tablets of arecoline hydrobromide. for distribution to local authorities in an effort to reduce hydatids in dogs. ./■■: The Minister of Internal Affairs (the Hon. W. E.'Parry) said to-day that for the last two or three years the drug had been issued. Experiments were being made by the Department of Health and Agriculture to determine whether any. appreciable decrease in hydatids resulted.
