ACCIDENTS
* FAfAL ELECTRIC SHOCK FALLEN POWER LINE CAUSES DEATH (P.A.) AUCKLAND, August 8. A boy received a fatal electric shock at Otahuhu when he came into contact with a private pow.r line. He was Charles Basil Campbell, aged 12, a son of Mr H. B. Campbell, of Otahuhu. The power line was broken and fell into a paddock at the rear pf Mr Campbell’s house. The boy was found near the power line by his father an hour later. CAR OVERTURNS ONE PASSENGER DIES (P.A.) PALMERSTON N., August 8. Cyprian Lee, aged 19, of Feilding, died in hospital as a result of injuries received in an unusual car accident at night. Three cars were proceeding in line when the last one started to overtake the second as the second started to overtake the first. The last car was forced off the road into a ditch but regained the bitumen and rolled over. Of the five passengers, Lee was the only one hurt. The mishap occurred just outside Feilding on the Awahuri road. ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL Louis Neilson, aged 46 years, of 115 Garland's road, Opawa, was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital on Saturday suffering from head injuries. He was found lying in Opawa road, but how he came by his injuries is not known. His condition is satisfactory. FELL FROM TRAM Lurline England, a girl aged 10 years, living at 37 Matlock street, slipped and fell when getting on a tram in Ferry road yesterday and suffered slight concussion. She was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital. Her condition is satisfactory.
