POINTS FROM OTHER LETTERS
On “8.8.C. Announcing” Leslie B. ' .urnett writes: “I cannot think of a single 8.8.C. announcer that has not got a clear voice. Most people greatly appreciate the way in which the 8.8.C. has maintained its service, even under the most severe war conditions. As regards the commentators, I have found most of them both good and instructive. ‘Sufferer’ blames broadcasting people for defects due to atmospheric conditions. Could prejudice possibly go further?”
"Stench” thinks Lake Ellesmere “high enough to be let out, because the stench from it is unbearable on the Greenpark side. Let the authorities come and get a whiff for themselves. I have been a resident here for 27 years and have never known the lake to be in such a state."
