STUD RAM SHOW AND FAIR

YESTERDAY’S JUDGING RESULTS

A shearling stud ram show was held yesterday at the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s grounds In connexion with the annual stud ram fair. There was no -November show last year, and It was considered by the association that the fair provided an opportunity among breeders for competition, which had not been presented to them previously this season. The response indicated that this opportunity was welcome, as there was a big entry. The competition was confined to shearling rams of each breed. Some breeders secured notable successes. In the Southdown competition interest was robbed to some extent by the non-competition of H. J. Andrew (Maheno).

The rams penned up for the fair today are a particularly well brought out lot. Breeders from the North Island and from as far apart in the South Island as Blenheim and Wyndham are represented. The fair will commence this morning at 10 o’clock. The following are yesterday’s results:—
