RELIEF FROM TAXATION SOUGHT PROTEST TO GOVERNMENT The taxation of superannuation lowances was fully discussed at, • meeting representing Civil Sefyiw Railway, and National Provident FUM superannuitants, held in Christchurcs on Monday, according to a report sup* plied to “The Press” by the actw { secretary of the meeting, Mr J. Veit® f Mr Veitch said that those pres® I protested strongly against the unjuaj penalty on those who had endeavour'O I to make themselves independent w State aid. The following resolute® was carried unanimously; "That tn* Government be asked to make all sup* erannuation pensions tax free up “ £l3 15s a month, thus placing an s®' perannuitants in the same position social security beneficiaries.” It wa» decided to send copies of the resold* tion to Christchurch members of P8 r * liament.
