CROQUET
CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION The twenty-ninth annual tournament will be played at the United lawns, commencing next Tuesday, February 2. The president (Mrs Smithson) will declare the tournament open at 9 a.m.. and. play will commence with the handicap doubles. Mrs Maddrcn has been appointed as manager and Mrs Kellaway as assistant manager. The following is the draw for Tuesday; —9 a.m., J, Bates and Mrs Beardsley v. Mesdames Dunn and McNish, H. A. Penn and Mrs Pargcter v. Mrs Palmer and F Dunn, Mr and Mrs Gibb v. Mesdames Parsonson and Dick, Mesdames Forrester and Owen v. Mesdames Pepper and Bolts, Mesdames Flintofi and Hooper v Mesdames McTeague and Oldfield. Mesdames Clarke and McNish v. Mesdames Bull and Faulkoer. Mesdames Blunt and Andrews v. Mesdames Travis and McClelland. Mesdames Rountree and McLellan v. Mesdames Bonar and Marriott. Other competitors in this event to be on the grounds at 10.30 a.m, _g
